Suddenly my profile is "restricted" and under "parental control"

I am 34 years old and have been playing on xbox live for about 4 years.  Family settings and parental control has always been switched off on my console and I've neve had this problem before.  However this week I can't download demos or DLC's without getting "profile restricted" and "parental control."  

Checklist:

I've checked my settings on my xbox and they are still off.  

I've reset my settings just in case.

I currently have a one year gold subscription that expires in 2012, so no my subscription has not run out

My locale is Taiwan, perhaps region or server problems?  (I can't get anything from their web page, because it is just Chinese!)

 

What to do?

Are you part of a family plan? Have you checked our age restriction sticky for suggestions.

Also, to change the region online, click the country name in the upper-left hand corner and select the appropriate region.
