Skyrim very slow. every other game i have works fine.????

I feel you on that one man. I'm a big Skyrim fan myself so i know what you're talking about.
The couple things I would suggest are first installing Skyrim to the hard drive on the Xbox. This will (should) speed up the load times a great deal.
Also, I would clear your system cache to get rid of any "junk" that may have accumulated. Clearing your system cache will not affect saved game files or anything like that.
To clear your System Cache. From the dashboard scroll all the way to the right, Select Settings. Then select Storage. Now, you will see your hard drive (if applicable). Highlight the hard drive (but don't click A) Instead you'll see an option "Y" Device Options. Click Y. Then scroll down a couple choices to Clear System Cache. Click that and it's really quick.
Now, restart your console, load up Skyrim and it will ask you to download the latest update. DL the update and everything should be cleared up and increased speed for you.
If that doesn't work pop back in and we can try a different option, but that clears things up 99% of the time.

Yes clearing the system cache should work, if not which it didn't for me, it was my gamesave. I had a level 37 mage and my game started to go slow for no reason, I tried my game atmy friends house and it was fine. I found out it was my save because I also transfered my gamesave over to my mates console, once loaded them game started to go slow again, so it was my save, ever since I have started a new save and everythings fine. Must just a glitch or something to do with Skyrim, mine you this happened to me on day of release so it could have been an unknown 'bug' at the time, I also noticed items that I stored would just vanish? I'd put it to gamesave, hope this helped

Hey i had the same problem i have an older xbox and i tried to play skyrim the day i got it and it was extremely slow but once i installed it it worked fine it still is alittle slow but thats because of all the content

I too have been playing Skyrim, but have never had any of the problems you listed.  Try this and see if it helps:

1. Clear your System Cache:  (Go to System, Storage, select the hard drive [but do not enter it] and Press Y.  Then Clear System Cache)  This will clear out all the temporary files that the console uses.  Over time, these will bog down the processing speed of the console.  Do this once a week and before installing any game onto the hard drive.
2. Always install the game onto the hard drive whenever possible:  It helps with the processing of the graphics (especially with a game as graphic intensive as Skyrim) and therefore, reduces the wear and tear on the console. 
3. Clear out any unnecessary files from the hard drive:  Remove anything you no longer use from the hard drive (i.e. old DLCs, saves, themes/GamerPics ...).  The more junk you have on the drive, the more it will slow down the console (just like a regular PC drive).  Don't forget, anything you bought from the Marketplace can be re-loaded free of charge, so don't worry about them.  As for saves, just back them up to a flash drive,
4. Try to save to the Cloud whenever possible:  This goes back to #3.  The more room you free up on the hard drive, the less work the console will have to do when processing all of the graphics = the smoother the gameplay (in theory).

Hopefully, this will help with the stalling your cousin has been experiencing.  Let us know if if it works!

One thing a fellow Skyrim player should know is that having lots of saves slows down the game as well. Avoid creating dozens of different saves. While it's important to have back up saves for a game like Skyrim, everything has its limits. Have a few saves per character and circle them, don't always go for that shiny new save ;)

I'd recommend the above suggestions, (clearing your cache, installing the game,  etc), and definitely clearing out old saves. The more saves you have, the more the game is going to be bogged down.

Another idea may be to back up the saves that matter to you, (the newest ones I'm guessing), to the cloud or a USB stick, and clearing out all Skyrim data. Clear the cache too. Then, install the game, and put the copied saves back on the local drive.

I've had Skyrim for several months, but this week i got to Lvl 35 on my main, and it has gone downhill from there, sometimes it took 3 tries to get to the main menu without my Xbox locking uo it was so bad. i deleted most of my old saves,(i had about 450) and left 10, it still did nothing. i installed it to my hard drive and cleared the cache, runs twice as fast. and i'm assuming it's because it's installed, my xbox doesn't sound like a jet grinding away at the disk.

Try clearing the GAME CACHE. (not the system cache) Start Skyrim, and then hold down LB+RB+X while the game boots up until the title screen, then release. Do not release until you see the Bethesda logo

Ya I have the same problem. When I first got the DLC it really slowed down. Like it would take 30 seconds just to drink a potion. So I redownloaded it all and it helped a lot. Also deleting old saves help to.
