Significant points in ME1

Most of those encounters unlock cameo appearances in ME2.  Conrad Verner, The Green Asari who The Thorian kept regenerating (her name eludes me), Helena Blake, just to name a few.  If you romance Liara, you'll rekindle that fire when she visits The Normandy after defeating The Shadow Broker.

It's my fault for not mentioning it, but for future posters I would like to avoid ME2 DLC spoilers as I will be playing them for the first time after this ME1 playthrough. As for Arkham, no worries...like I said, it was my fault.

There will be some sort of follow up (either a character appearance or a message in your inbox) to nearly every side quest you do in ME1. Chances are if you have the choice to kill someone and you don't, they'll make a brief appearance in ME2.

Make sure you do the following.

Conrad Verner Conversations

Tali's Geth/pilgrimage Quest

Keep Shiala alive on Ferros

Helena Blake on Citadel - Keep her alive

There is a Renegade only quest.  Found it as a Paragon, couldnt enter though. Not sure what it leads to?

Keep Gianna Parassini Alive on Noveria

Thanks for those, already got some checked off. Though I did bring Wrex to Fist beforehand. I probably had most of these on my first Import but I wasn't really sure so that's why I'm going through again to make sure I can get everything.

Do any of those "collection" quests hold any significance? I hope not, atrocious time sucks.
