Recently bought a new game but when trying to play it Xbox gives me an error before start screen

Hey i had recently re-bought Mass Effect so I can play it through again because I lost my save data but when I try to play it it will get past the Bioware screen and than gives me the error for the *** being dirty or something. I have tried cleaning it an their are no scratches is their anything I can do to fix this or should I just return it and get a different copy. Please help.

Try installing the game to your HDD if you have one.

If nothing helps returning it for another copy is worth a shot.
