xbox slim "whisper quite" issue.....

Do you have the 250 GB xbox 360 slim? (Is the xbox Shiney?)

When you play a game off a disc. The cd drive is kind of loud considering how fast the game is spinning, If you have room on your HDD do the folowing:

While at the dashboard,

1. Put a game into the xbox: I.E GTA4

2.Goto "My Xbox">Scroll right and click "Game library"

3.Find GTA4 and click it.

4. It should give you the option to Install the game to your Hdd. Install it. (This may take some time)

Once done try playing that game(GTA4). The drive should become loud for a second, then should get quieter.

THE GAME DISC IS STILL REQURED.

This method of installing your game to your HDD also stops the "Wear and Tear" on the drive laser.

You can do this with  every Xbox 360 game Disc. (Example:Call of Duty Black ops, MW2,WAW, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Halo reach, Mercenaries 2 and much much more games)

I have a 250GB; as i said earlier in my post, Slim, meaning the new "shiney" xbox

Not to mention i have around 105 GB left. Because i have bought all the breaking bad seasons and they are on ym system to watch forever now. not to mention 6 games on demand and 54 arcade titles downloaded to my system.

And still counting.

And downloading all the games i have would require a bigger hard drive.

So that's not gonna happen.

And i googled this question and it seems i'm not the only one who is hearing this rattle noise , because i know the fan may be louder, but there is something rattling around because of something, old games? who knows but its not quite at all.

The sound you are hearing is not the fan. The fans barlely make any noise, The sound you are hearing is your xbox drive working. You can just silence the maniacal parts to a drive. Theres always going to be a little sound coming out of the xbox 360 slim.

Like i said. Does the noise you hear only come when you are playing a game off a disc?

Perhaps at some point Microsoft will release a SSD for the console to eliminate drive sounds.  Of course the disc drive will make noise as well...I suppose the only answer to that would be to go back to a cartridge type console...or release games on flash drives?!

Well you also got to keep in mind that you can buy games On demand. I know for a fact that Halo reach and black ops are on there...
