Let me change my region.

Regions on an account can not be changed, Your only option is to create a new account.

Then they ought to force my gamertag to change.  If they aren't willing to let me pay that's crap.  I'm not going to buy gold for another account.  This has been my account for three years.  I have a unused account to purchase things off xbox arcade, but if microsoft doesn't help me it will be their fault that I am  not purchasing content from them in the future.  If they help me change my gamertag I will purchase gold.

The GT does not violate the TOS, There will not be a FNC enforcement on the account.

The other option you have is purchase points card for the region set on the account and change things as you wish then start a new account.

I tried purchasing a JP one month for my JP account online and it would not accept the code. I was told it had to do with the xbox being on a US ip now.  Maybe it is different for MSP?

Holiday I am not sure - But up till recent anyone could purchase a US gold sub and it would work in any other region.

Also on the IP idea, some consoles are outside the regions xbox is available, and they are able to add a UK card when they live in South Africa, since the region on that account is UK.

No offense OP but you were the one that willingly entered false information. Why should Microsoft provide you with a free GT change because of your mistake?

Because they will lose a customer.  I have a PS3 and I won't buy gold if I can't get a gamertag change.  I am willing to pay, but because of this region lock I can't put my credit card or use microsoft points.  

I already have to buy everything like themes and gamerpics on an alternate, but this account means a lot to me.   I'm surprised that no one can force a region change on my account.  I know they can change my gamertag because they do it if there is violations so I won't buy gold until this is resolved.

no they can't due to international laws on content your only option is to create an new account

well i own a ps3 and when it comes to future cod games i will convert and not put gold on my account.  i don't see why they can't change my gamertag.  it costs them nothing to do it and they have that ability.  i don't want to be a jerk about it but there is no other way.

except all future cod services are region locked also
