INSTALLING GAMES ON CONSOLES

hello guys i just bought an xbox and i have found out that i can install games on the hdd of my console...however i still dont get the point of installing games since u can only play them with the disk in so can some one tell me the benefits of installing ^^ thx in advance

The benefits include less wear and tear on both the disc and the drive. Plus because the drive only spins when starting the game it produces less heat which means the chances of the RRoD are reduced.

and its much much quieter running an installed game , the hard dvd drive can be noisy
