How to get 4 bars in MW2?

how can i get 4 bars in MW2. i don't have a router, only a 4 port modem.

Seeing as you don't have a router , the only suggestion I can give is turn off all appliances using your connection .

Then if that doesn't help , see if you have a "DMZ" option . Which places your Xbox IP outside of the modem firewall .

^ - Ensures better connection without restrictions .

And if none of the above work , contact your ISP to see about obtaining a router , or upgrading your internet package .
