Having problem activating my god member ship plz help

Hi i am new here and to xbox live i just updated my account to gold member by using a card that u both from the store. It is a 3 month membership card, I put the code on the site and it send me a msg saying that it was activated but when I tried to play halo 3 online I sayed I needed to be a god member :/

 

Did I do something rong? Or is there more thing I need to do?

You are showing gold online here.  Sometimes it can take a little bit of time for it to officially activate on live.  Give it an hour or so and see if you can get online there.
