Clicking / Grinding whenever I put a disc in

I think my Xbox is slowly dying... whenever I put a disc in, it makes a clicking / grinding noise and I have to quickly tap the top of the Xbox to get it to read the disc.  If I hear the clicking / grinding noise, it was a fail, so I have to eject and try the tapping again.  Takes 2-3 minutes of this to get it to read the disc, but once it does read it, it's fine.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix that?  Seems silly to throw out some cash for something that is a nuisance at best, but... well, it's a nuisance, hah.

Looks as if your optical drive is failing, I believe if out of warranty the fix is $150 or somewhere around that, from Microsoft ofcourse.
