Windows Live Mail won't open my messages

For the third time this year I have incurred a problem with not being able to open my email messages in Windows Live Mail The first couple of times it was due to a certain security software which once uninstalled cleared the problem. This time I did nothing for this to happen. A certain "fix it" company in the States has been trying to solve this problem for me for three days, a lot of which I experienced by hours of wasted time in front of my computer.

I get my email through Orange and can open it through a browser, but I can't now access current contacts, open messages or send in WLM. Any one got any ideas please.

Thank you for posting. I understand that you are having issues opening your messages in Mail. Let's try to isolate if the issue was caused by corrupted Mail related files. Kindly repair it by following these:

 

1. Press Windows + R, type AppWiz.cpl, click OK.

2. Select Windows Essentials 2012/Windows Live Essentials, click Uninstall/Change-or-Remove.

3. Click Repair all Windows Essentials Programs.

 

In case the issue still persists, I would like to ask some questions:

  • Do you receive any error message? If so, what is the exact error message?
  • Do you remember any changes on your computer or Windows Live Mail prior to the issue?
