I can't update windows because VirtualBox is preventing me from doing so.

Long story short, my current windows version is outdated and I am trying to update it. But right now I am unable to do so because of an application called VirtualBox. I've tried to find it through programs without much success.  Can anyone help me figure this out?

Hi, 

Thank you for the reply, yes I did. To try removing VirtualBox i have uninstalled bluestacks ldplayer and other android emulators of the same kind.

Hi,

Thank you for the help, I have resolved my issue using a software called BCU. The problem I had was an application named LDplayer that stayed on my system despite being uninstalled on windows. Manually uninstall it and deleting the registry files solved my problems.

You're a lifesaver. I was scratching my head around the issue. Update worked as soon as I uninstalled LD Player.

I found solution for me

I was Usb Linux live installation packet in my disk. Not installed.

It included virtualbox ...

I removed my installation packet from disk - then update worked fine.

Packet LinuxLive USB Creator.zip, zip was unzipped and it include VirtualBox. Not installed, not running, ...

It has been on my disk last five years ...

I discovered that a product called LDPlayer needed to be uninstalled.  This was an Android virtual machine.  Removing that program allowed me to update.
