Gerald
I did read the link about the pin. The fact that it is unique to each device is not better it is worse. That means I have to have three more pins for each of the devices I have, instead of one PW. A password is still something you have remember whether it is called a pass word or a pin. Come on, ask your boss if you can show me how to avoid the PIN at sign in. Otherwise, I may have to set the sign in to 'never' which will make my computer less secure. Thanks. JB

I use the same PIN on all my devices.
might be if you have an item capable of the windows hello feature, you need to remove windows hello in accounts.
might be something you dont see has hello available - hello from something I've read relies on the PIN and TPM, so try disabling TPM in your bios/setup. Maybe looking at Tpm.msc would give a hint. Set a PIN then Remove it might quit it from asking for one.

Did anyone answer this? I can't turn it off either. It's extremely annoying. I don't want a pin. My password works just fine.

I found an answer. The next time you log into your computer, at the log in screen, where you type in your password, there are 2 icons under the field for you to enter your password. Click on the RIGHT icon prior to entering your password. Then enter your password and hit enter. Presto! No more Pin question! It's not the having to enter the PIN I don't like, I just don't want it to be an option to get into my computer. There are a lot less 4-digit codes out there than there are passwords.
