how to fix drag and drop in windows 10?

Complete frustration with windows 10

Seriously, has nobody come up with a fix for the drag drop issue in Windows 10???

The posts I've seen are almost a year old and I don't see any answers to any of the questions concerning drag and drop for

windows 10, is there a fix yet?

I can't even move files to my dropbox, and clients are waiting to download thes file, can someone help?

A frustrated windows 10 user...

I completely agree! I just bought a Surface Pro 4 yesterday and right away noticed the issue with the drop down menu. I brought it into the Microsoft store to address the issue and, not only did they not have a solution, they were surprised and refused to admit that it was even an issue. How can one design a browser that doesn't work with drop down menus?! This is an incredibly important feature. The guy in the store told me to use Chrome or the old IE as a solution ;/ I am now using an older version of IE (until another issue develops for which I can't use IE!)

Strange is that it started to work again on November 24 and was working normally for about one week. After that I am not able to drag and drop again. Precisely, I can drag but when I leave the source window the file disapears... Grrrr!!!!

I have read that people cannot find or use drag and drop in Windows 10. This I cannot understand I support many users and have had no problem with drag and drop of files or folders. I have emclient as my email client software and experience no problem dragging and dropping attachments or photos embedded in the email. Very happy and successful with Windows 10 myself and the users.

What is the problem?

Go tu RUN, or Search "regedit.exe" than run as administrator

On Registry Editor go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

double click "EnableLUA"

Change value 1 to 0

restart windows

it solved the problem and fix-drag-and-drop-in-windows-10

This seems to me to be a fatal flaw in Windows 10. How can you rearrange the desktop without drag and drop? Move a shortcut from one spot on the screen to another. I want to be able to group certain items together. This is an extremely basic function and I'm amazed that there is not a huge backlash about not having this capability within Win 10. Am I that unique a user??
