Windows 8.1 Professional - Multiple random BSoD

Hi,

I have had multiple BSoD on my computer for the past one week.

Each time, there is a different error code.

Here are the codes that I have noticed:

- MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS

- DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Wdf01000.sys)

Can anyone please help me fix this issue?

It's affecting my work a lot.

Here are the minidumps and memory.dmp files for today's crashes

http://1drv.ms/1gbMX7H

Thank you.

Answer

Hi,

MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS (44)

This indicates that a driver has tried to request an IRP be completed that is already complete.

^^ It appears that ser2at64.sys (ATEN USB to Serial device driver) is the responsible driver.

2: kd> lmvm ser2at64
start             end                 module name
fffff801`0789b000 fffff801`078bb000   ser2at64   (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: ser2at64.sys

    Image name: ser2at64.sys

^^ Dated from 2009, not too surprising given the device driver is too old to function with Windows 8.1.

Unsure as to where you'd find an update if any, maybe here - http://www.aten.com/download/download_dv.php

If you cannot find an update, you'll need to uninstall this software + remove the device itself.
