Disable Read Receipts in Outlook for Android

Noticed someone got a read receipt from me.

I always turn them off. 

Off in all my Outlook instances and other mail services.

Can't figure out how to turn it off in Outlook for Android.

This is a deal breaker since it's nobody's business what I do in my email, unless I actively send them something; also gives spammers confirmation of a real email box.

Any ideas?

Hello W_T_G,

 

Please follow the instruction below to disable sending Read Receipts in Outlook for Android:

1 . On a PC or Mac, sign in Outlook Web App(OWA).

2 . Click the gear icon and choose Mail.

3 . Go to General->Mobile devices.

4 . Check Don’t send read receipts for messages read on devices that use Exchange ActiveSync.

 

Then your Outlook for Android will not send Read Receipts anymore.
