Office Professional Plus 2010

Hi,

I have just got Office 2010 professional plus adn i want to install it on my desktop computer which is running Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

When I load up the set up for office 2010 it begins however it then encounters an error this being error 1304. Error writing to file. Policy.12.0.Microsoft.Office.Access.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory. I then have the option of Retry or Cancel both of these present me with another error

Error 2350 An internal error has occurred (           ) Contact Microsoft Product Support (PSS) for assistance. For more information about how to contact PSS see c:\Docume~1\Hp_adm~1\locals~1\temp\setup00000e90\PSS10R.CHM

When i click retry it the rolls back all the changes and I am presented with error 1334. The file 'ACC12PL.DLL' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'ProPsWW.CAB'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM or a problem with this package.

No idea what to do!!!

Please Help :D

Answer

Try booting the system in clean boot mode and try installing office. This is to check if any non-Microsoft services are conflicting with office installation.

Note: Once the trouble shooting is done start the system back to normal mode by following the Step 7 in the above article.
