Excel 2007 start up "stdole32.tlb"

Hi,

I have a user who is experiencing an issue with Excel 2007 on Windows 7, whereby whenever an Excel 2003 file is opened, am stdole32.tlb error appears - nothing else, just "stdole32.tlb" in an error message and Excel 'configures' and opens the spreadsheet everytime. However, this can be cancelled and it will still open and this only ever happens when there is not already an instance of Excel open.

The user had Excel 2003 & 2007 installed and certain Excel files were opening in Excel 2003 instead of 2007. After the default program was changed to 2007, 2003 was removed from the machine as they no longer had any use for it. That is when this error started occurring.

I have tried the steps highlighted in the following links to no avail;

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Joe
