"Sandwich menu" (and therefore the option "page layout") not visible on Huawei CMR-W19

I live in Switzerland, so contacting Microsoft support by phone as suggested is difficult.

I'm having the same issue.

However, I found out so far that this happens due to this modern UI design, where UIs adapt to the resolution of the device, which makes the app look different on devices with different resolutions.

This has some advantages, but in my opinion, the user experience really suffers, because the user is confronted with a totally different UI. So, when he learned how to use an app on one device, he has to learn how to use it on a different device from scratch, cancelling out the advantage of installing the same app on both devices.

When you go to Settings, Display, you can change the display size of your device to extra large. Once you have done that, Edge will look different. And you will actually see the missing hamburger icon.

Unfortunately, when you return to default display size, not only the button will be gone, but also your page layout customizations you made while the display size was set to extra large.

This is the worst form of software design and implementation. It seems the goal of today's software design is to confuse the user as much as possible.

Thanks for your answer and sorry for the delay..

The problem is, I do not have "Display" in the settings, on both devices.

With the actua version 45.12.4.5137 nothing changed, still no sandwich-menu on my tablet.

Could it be due to the Android version (8.0.0 on my Huawei tablet, 10 on my Huawei phone) ?
