My xbox cannot authorize my payment method.

Hello, I have a certain issue with my xbox 360. Yesturday i attempted to buy borderlands off the xbox marketplace. It said my card was expired and i needed to add another. I added my amex to the xbox. When i attempted to purchase it again it said "Cannot authorize payment option, try again or a different payment option" i called microsoft support and they could not understand the problem either, they told me to call the bank. I called chase bank and there was nothing wrong with my card with paying for xbox or any other things. I decided id wait a day to see if it was just a glitch. Today the same problem is happening, and for some reason my xbox is having troubles loading the marketplace aswell. Is this a common issue, and if anyone has seen this error before... do you know how to fix it?

Have you tried adding a different payment method other than your AMX? Do you have this issue for any card you attempt to add, or just the one? If any, there might be something wrong with your account, in which case you should call phone support (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx).

If just the one card, there might be a reason on the card like not allowing online or recurring billing.

For your Marketplace issues, try clearing your system cache and restart the console. Let me know what if any of this helps. Thanks!
