Is MW2 still active?

Varies on the day and time. You'll still find a decent bunch left in the game. I'd be on more often, but my copy of MW2 is really resistant to being played...

It's still really easy to get into a lobby during the daylight hours.  It can take a few seconds in the later hours but it's still fairly active, I hop on with friends and have throwback tournaments on it all the time and always have a blast.

I still get a game in Australia, I think the maps are better then mw3 and I haven't seen many mods or scams. I think i'll get on in tonight

Really? I heard the connection sucked on Australia. Is it mostly other Australians you play on there (nothing racial I am just curious as to there servers and such)

I haven't had any problems with connection in Australia and it always varies where the other players come from. In answer to the original post, I think MW2 is still going strong and like someone said earlier, people will play for old times sake.

Yeah Morpheus, connection is fine here since allot of Australians still play this, It only sux when we get a U.S connection due to distance. Now with COD 4 and WAW I can never get a local connection, where as MW2 is still alive and kicking. I spent a few hours over easter playing this and it was all good.

MW2 Is still a very active game and will be for a while.

i got over mw3 so decided to start playing mw2 saw the map packs were cheap and brought them and since then i only get yellow or red bar for connection american games 24/7 almost but if i delete the dlc i get full green bars wtf ? ??

There's still thousands of folk still playing or back to MW2. I only play in the hardcore lobbies and each room as over 500 folk at all times of the day.

I think more  and more folk have gone back to MW2 as I thought MW3 overall was pretty disappointing.
