Goldeneye 2011

It is a different game, but apparently it was being developed along side the Wii game.  If it said later this year I'm sure it will be coming out sometime in November just in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Its a completely different game than the one for Wii, and supposedly its going to be as a lot more similar to the N64 version. or as close as Nintendo will allow them to get. Im sure that it will play very similar to the Wii version though since its being done by Activision again.

This video says this fall so expect it around November.

The previewer said it looks and feels more like Call of Duty MW2, than anything else.  He also said it doesn't really feel like the N64 game at all, and that he found himself feeling like he was Soap from MW2, instead of Bond.  It's bad news for many.  I was hoping it would be like the N64 version.  A bunch of people were talking about this not too long ago here.

This game looks interesting. I'm just bummed out that it feels like a CoD game.

The game on the N64 looked bad for the time, sounded bad for the time and controlled extremely badly for the time. I will never understand why it is such a well thought of title.

[/quote]I figured as much.  On the thread I linked, you were the only one who acknowledged my Odd Job reference.  You must be a fan of the N64 game, because only that kind of a person knows what kind of devastation that little man brought to the battlefield LOL.  Ah good times...

[/quote]I guess what did it for me was the innovative fast-paced multiplayer.  Very fast and chaotic.  Me, my friends, and my brother grew up spending hours and hours playing that.  I still remember how often we cried out of too much laughter from all of the chaotic, frantic battles we had.  Gun battles, proxy and remote mine battles, one-hit-kills pistol battles, one-hit-kills slaps only battles (Odd Job was a beast in this), rockets launcher battles, etc...  It's the game that made me a game junkie.

Haha, yea back in the day, me and the other 2 kids down the street used to come over daily and play Goldeneye x) we had to make it a rule to pick any other character expect for Oddjob because of how cheap he was one "smack!" and the cheesy death sequence with the blood running down bahaha great memories. In the complex level you didnt even have to crouch to go through the vents xD

Oh well I didnt expect this to be a true remake though, Activision hasn't made a good Bond game since Nightfire. That was the closest they ever got to Goldeneye's multiplayer.
