Gamestop opening new games now..

they do the same in the uk i usually just go to the counter an ask for a sealed copy

If it has been opened, its no longer new.  Just ask Walmart.  I have asked for a new copy at GameStop and been handed an opened copy.  But when I ask for a sealed copy, they always get me one.

It's still a new copy of the game and they have been doing it for years.

Weird, so basically im just screwed out of the online pass lol? Or if I bring it back they can get me one or an unopened one.

i'd take it back you payed for it new which should include the online pass take it back an ask for a sealed copy

I've always received all inserts at Gamestop when I buy new games. You must be experiencing some corruption from your local stores management or you mistakenly bought a used copy. Take it back and request a copy with the online pass.

Often times they run out of sealed copies and all they have left the display copy. They don't keep the disk in display cases to prevent thievery. So even though the case was opened up, the disk has never seen the inside of a 360.

[/quote]It most certainly ISNT new once its been opened.  Even if you want to play semantic games about the disc never being played, you cant prove that, and grimy fingerprints from moving it from the box to the paper sleeve make it used.  End of Story.  Dont ever pay new prices for something that has been opened.  Ask for a sealed copy.  If dont have one, go somewhere else.

Why didn't you just ask for a sealed copy before leaving the store? If it's obvious the case has been opened you run the risk of any codes not being there. Live and learn.

The one time GS gave me a display copy I opened it in front of them to make sure the codes for MP were there and they were, although I know the guys at my store pretty well so they would never *** me over.

[/quote]No its not..once its opened its used...They tried that with me and I put them in their place.Told them to get me a sealed copy.If you buy a sealed brand new game and then opened it and try to give it back to them ..would they except it as new???
