Assassin's Creed: Revelations Thread

Until an official forum is created I figured I would make a thread about Assassin's Creed: Revelations. SPOILERS on previous Assassin's Creed games are sure to be included here.

Also I thought this would be a good place to collect all of the conspiracy theories that have been throughout the series.

I'll begin with a theory of my own based on the subtitle of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. I THINK that the Revelations subtitle has a double meaning. Not only might it mean that questions might be answered but it might also have a connection to the Book of Revelations from the Bible.

It should be a great game getting to play as Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Altair Ibn-La'Ahad in the same game. The trailer looks BEAST and to Giovanni Auditore da Firenze and Federico Auditore da Firenze. Requiescat In Pace.

Stuff taken from the recent Game Informer spread (spoilers gonna spoil!) -

Ezio arrives at Masyaf early in the game, finds that it is overrun with Templars, and also has a super-duper artifact. Five keys are needed to use the artifact, so Ezio sets off to find them. Unlike the keys in ACII and ACB, these are artifacts from the First Civilization, and the memories of the last user (Altair) are recorded on them. Ezio experiences Altair's memories this way, similar to Desmond in the Animus. The plot is supposed to tie everything from AC1 through Brotherhood together, and set the stage for ACIII proper.

Other things - it sounds like eavesdropping and save citizen missions are coming back in some fashion. Also, there will be "questable" armor like in ACII and ACB, but the historical character it centers around hasn't yet been revealed. Borgia-esque zones are also making a comeback, but will be a bit more varied than in ACB, and you can lose conrol of the area again unless you set up one of your assassin recruits (this time, they can be leveled to 15 - Master Assassin) to hold the area indefinitely.

Ubisoft has been quoted as saying that Assassin's Creed Revelations IS Ezio's last adventure.

I wonder if Ezio was experiencing a "bleeding effect" when he saw Altair in the Assassin's Creed Revelations E3 trailer. Maybe Ezio was the first person to come up with the idea that would eventually end up being the Animus.

No, it has to do with the artifacts Ezio finds. The last known user was Altair, and his memories were imprinted on them by means yet-unknown. Ezio experiences them via an Animus-like effect, though they were created by Those Who Came Before who likely saw them as ordinary tools.

sorry dude i didnt explain that very well. i know its from the artifacts. i just thought that maybe ezio passes on the experiences to leo and leo is infact the first one to try and think about making a machine that replicates the artifacts effects. (a 16th century animus) all just a theory and probably very far off the mark lol
