A few days ago my gold ran out, so I immediatly went to purchase 1 moth gold for £5.99 but i got the following message on my console:
'Sorry there's an issue with your account, please visit https://account.live.com or try a different payment method' (or something along the lines of this)
So i tried on xbox.com to get this error message:
'That action can not be performed right now' (or something along the lines of this)
I did not get an error/status code with either messages.
I then saw the £2 for 2 months on the dashboard, so i tried this, but still got the same message. But after reading the small print it stated 'Limit one per account', i then remembered i used this 2 months ago. So this must be why im getting this message, but it still doesnt explain why i cant buy normal gold.
After looking on here (the support forums) ive noticed alot people are having this issue either when they are trying to buy/when they already have brought the 2 month for £/$2. This makes me wonder is this promotion affecting me buy normal gold/causing an error when i try to? As xbox support managed to give 1 month xbox live by charging my card at their end, but i presume i will have this problem when it runs out. Also this wasn't happening before i brought the 2 months for £2 2 months ago.
