XBOX 360 slim has a red dot in the middle of the power button.

yesterday while i was on the youtube app, i paused the video and came back to my xbox being frozen. this has happened before so i restarted my console. upon doing this the light went from green to red. i am familiar with the red ring of death on the older consoles because i have had that quite a few times.(this is my 4th xbox). this was my 1st assumtion. after reading online i see that this has happened to alot of people. this was a launch 360s that i pre-ordered. i wonder if its just getting old. some say the light means the xbox isnt getting enough ventilation. so maybe a fan would fix it? i was going to find out but when i turned on my xbox today the light on the power brick turned red.i unplugged it until the light turned off and tried again and it works but i dont want to run my xbox right now. i am afraid if i run my xbox it will damage it further. what can i do? i have a launch 360s so i can assume my warranty is expired.

If the Xbox still shows green rings it may be a defect in your console's lighting.

For the red dot on the console check this link, the topic red dot on the console  support.xbox.com/.../console if the steps to solve the problem the console is likely in need of a repair...

So i turned on my xbox and it had the red dot. I unplugged it and restart but it still has the red dot but fully functional. What's wrong?

I have xbox 360 slim just 11 months old one day in sunday i turn on i see red dot. one day later its workd monday and tuesday(bad langue) then now its red again. but in tv not showing E error.

Maybe wire is not good like main i put in stronger the i push it down up and then i find were the problem
