So, I ended up with this odd issue from a fellow Ambassador with respect to his tv and I'm trying to find a fix
The other night when playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and COD Zombies, at random times his tv screen went black like it was going off or changing channels then come back on a few seconds later. Now, according to him the issue started when his building's power
flickered a few times that day.
He is on a flat screen LCD tv. Using HDMI with the latest console (shiny black S model) with standard 4G hard drive.
I had this issue before and can't remember the solution. Doesn't it have to do with the console Display settings??
Thanks

Has he tried resetting the display settings? Power on using the guide button, press and hold Y and the right trigger on the controller. If that doesn't work he could try changing the display discovery option in the display settings.

I forgot to mention that in some cases simply disconnecting all cables etc from the console for an hour or so can fix this particular issue.

Ah! i know this, my Friends Xbox and his TV did the same thing! he fixed his by getting a different HDMI cord by a different brand name. for some reason with the the cord he had if it moved even slightley do to a shake or anything the screen blacked out like it was turning off and then later popped back on. this can be associated by a lose connection or FIT in the back of the TV by the HDMI Cord not being Snug. thats what we determined anyways as the result of the Black Screen.

I had the same problem The screen would go blank for about 3 to 20 seconds and then come back. I was using cheap HDMI cables. I bought a set of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00316263Y/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They are a tighter fit and It hasn't happened since.
