OK please bear with me its long winded but I want to get all info out so people can help
Sorry to be a little hazy with the details..
I first started a couple of years ago when I tried to set up a xbox live account via the console. I live in the uk but set it up with a .com email address.
From what I remember I added xbox live gold to this account but then I couldnt add points. I think this may have been because my bank is in the UK so I couldnt use it with a .com email address (??)
I then found out that it had to be a .co.uk email address. So i set this up and added 2100 points.
So I had 2 accounts one with the xboxlive gold and the other with the 2100 points.
I was told that you cannot transfer points or gold membership from one account to the other, it all got a bit annoying so I just gave up.
I have now given it another go.
I still have my .co.uk account with 2100 points. The xboxlive gold must have expired on the .com account so lets forget that now.
I have set my son up online with an account and he will get xbox live gold but I will buy the add ons etc for the box from MY account so he cannot buy things willy nilly.
When I try to upgrade his gamer profile to xbox live gold its asks for is email address and password but it says its already associated with another account!
Both account are have been set up online with the free xboxlive.
I dont know where I'm going wrong.
How can I just log onto xbox live via the console without having to set up an account ? (because I've already got the account [created online])
