HELP!! Need to sync 2 add'l wireless controllers to new Elite - they won't sync!!!

I have read the directions.  I have pushed the buttons on the controllers until the circle spins, pushed the button the front of the Elite until it's circle spins and nothing.  I've replaced/charge the batteries.  I've unplugged my homes wireless modem to stop any interference.  I've held down the button on the controllers while spinning.  I've held down the button on the Elite while spinning.  I've moved closer, farther away - nothing I've tried is working.  I have even plugged in the old wireless adapter from the old system to try it on the new and it doesn't work.

I've been to the XBOX troubleshooting page, tried everything on there too as well, that's why I'm here now.  Any help please...

What more can I do to get these wireless controllers, that I used on my previous XBOX 360 with no issue, to use or sync, to sync on the new one?  The only one that works is the one that came with the system?

I know you have tried it but just give this one more shot OP. Try syncing one controller first, then if that works try the other.

Hold down the sync button on the console first> then press (not hold) the sync button on the pad.
Now both sets of lights should be spinning, then they will flash and connect.

Still no joy?.

Hey chief sorry that did not help you.

Could you take a look at this, its a sticky post about controller issues.
The next step on here is to try the controllers on a different console, if they work on that then you know there's a problem with the console itself and you would need to contact support.

The XBOX that died on me a month ago that I have replaced with the new one had no issues with either of these controllers so I know they work just fine as I used them both until old one died.  If this is an issue with the console why would the one that came with the console work?  I'll check the link, thanks.
