Giving my xbox to a friend to replace his old machine

I have a 250gb Slim that is a couple of months old and I have registered for a live account as far as accepting the free one month gold subscription.

My question is if I format the drive and return the xbox to default setting and then give it to my friend will he be able to just enter his details on the xbox and log into his live account or do I have to inform Microsoft.

What do I have to do??

You've probably registered your xbox with microsoft so he will have to contact support to inform them of the change of ownership. Other than that it's fine. Also, seeing as how you're so generous feel free to send me an xbox as well. lol
