File a complaint against another player

If you feel that an Xbox LIVE player has violated the Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct, you can file a complaint against that player. If a game has a complaint option, you can file a complaint from within the game. Refer to the documentation that came with the game for instructions. You can also follow the steps below.

Note If the player hasn’t violated the code of conduct but you want to avoid them, consider filing a player review.

To file a complaint

   Press the Guide button on your controller.

   Select Friends, then go to the Players tab.

   Select File Complaint. Then select File Complaint again on the next screen.

   Select one of the following general reasons for filing the complaint:

       Profile: The player’s gamertag, personal picture or personal information contains inappropriate material.

       Text and Voice Communications: The player used vulgar, hateful, harassing or threatening language in voice or text communications.

       Video Communications: The player was vulgar, hateful, harassing or threatening in video communications.

       Tampering: The player tampered with a game, an Xbox 360 console, Xbox LIVE or the feedback system.

   Select one of the following specific reasons for filing the complaint:

       Profile: Gamertag, Personal Picture, Personal Info, Player Content

       Text and Voice Communications: Text Message, Voice Message, Voice Chat, In-Game Voice

       Video Communications: Picture Message, Video Chat

       Tampering: Feedback Tampering, System Tampering, Cheating

   Select File Complaint. Select Don’t File if you decide not to file a complaint.

   Note Filing a complaint won't mute, block or help you to avoid a player.

If you retaliate in a way you are just as guilty as the person who started it.

Report & block anyone being abusive over xbox live,don't reply.

trolling isn't a violating the terms of use unless he breaks the rules 

If quite a few msgs then it's spam.

But generally the response is blocking mute and report at that point

So my old username was FukinNolzy, and a bunch of my mates thought it would be funny to report my name all at the same time and get me perma-banned. Is there anyway I can pay to change it to something more appropriate and get my account back?

Hello Microsoft, My name is vPandaar.

I was recently issued with a communication ban after getting annoyed with two people on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.

These two people's Gamertags are: McDuckOp and D3AthBr0ke923. These two people are sending me messages saying that their parent's work at Ubisoft and will get my account banned...

If you guys want XBOX to be a safer environment i would like the ban to be reduced or lifted and these two to get the ban i hope you agree and decide that i am the victim.

stop retaliating it's that simple this is a five year old.thread and the answer is the same

Report and block that's all you are allowed to do

Any actions except for those that violate the terms of use is susceptible to the rules regardless of who started it

It's is about 100% about making the online safe but that's what you don't get

Everyone is accountable to the rules not just everyone but you

Stop breaking the rules and start reporting

Just because someone else started it doesn't mean you can make the online experienced of others worse

As mentioned you aren't allowed to retaliate in any way that violates the terms of use including trolling back or cursing back

Regardless of the insults given

Common man use common sense even your teachers and police officers tell you this
