console dont turn off, HELP

When i turn off the console, the console green light keeps flashing, and the battery power still have the green light instead of the orange light, i have to unpluged the power source to turn off, it wont turn off by itself

If you were gaming for a long time it will do that so it can cool down. Or if you have a charge and play kit it will do that too sometimes cause it wants to charge the battery. It used to do that to me but the battery died so it would stay on till i unplugged the usb cable from my console.
