Advice?

I have finally recieved my copy of Star Wars Battlefront II. And for those of you who played it on the original xbox, you will know how fantastic this game is.

 

Anyway, I bought it off eBay and it arrived this morning. The advert stated it is in 'near-mint condition' which it is not! I would expect a game of not to be in fantastic condtion but still I don't see why people exaggerate/lie on eBay.

 

There are no deep burns on the disc just a lot of scuffs and circluar marks which I can only guess are due to the game being moved whilst running in the xbox.

 

Anyone think it is worth the hassle to go through returning it or just get the disc cleaned at Gamestation?

If it was me and I really wanted a copy of the game I would just leave bad feedback on Ebay and trek off down to Gamestation for a disc clean!

If it plays OK and is installable I personally wouldn't bother. If there are no deep scratches/burns it should be fine. See if it will install the entire game, if it fails at any point you should prolly return it.

go gamestation if doesnt work and put bad feedback on  ebay from that person happy gaming :)

Hmmmmm you both have valid points. I may just test this week, get it cleaned at Gamestation.

Can you install originals on the 360?

Failing that I have just found that CEX have some copies in at £10! So I may also order another copy as they don't accept horribly scratched discs.

ye should be able to as it is compatiable with 360 star wars battlefront 2 was awsum game i do miss it :(

Hmmmmm I am so confused.

Part of me wants to just clean, install and get on with it. And the other part of is like, order another copy from CEX and send the shite one back to the ebay guy!!!

how bad is disc if it really bad then send it bk but how do u know the disc quality gunna be like at CEX

Yes, apparently you can install any game supported by the 360 (so anything that plays can be installed).

as a quick tip if your disk is lightly scratched then you can use car polish to clean it. it only takes a few min to do it.

I've done this many times myself and saved a fortune by not getting gamestation to clean them for me.

Just play it and see if it works, if it does then there's no problem. Perhaps leave the guy neutral feedback for claiming it's in mint when it isn't, whereas if it doesn't work them leave negative and get it cleaned for a couple quid.
