Windows Xp Home edition 32 Bit/Cannot download Security Update for Windows XP (KB973768) WILL NOT DOWNLOAD. WHAT TO DO?

I have been trying to download this stubborn Update for over a year now with NO LUCK.

I have searched for answers on all Microsoft Sites with the question with NO LUCK!

PLEASE, Will someone tell me either how to download this update or what was the previous

update is that needed to be installed before the (KB973768)

I am running Windows Xp Home edition 32 Bit..with Windows Media Center on Windows 8.

OR can I remove this Error or How to remove this failed update off the computer??

The right answer will be so greatly appreciated.
