trying to connect ot home wireless network get message: "Windows unable to find a certificate to log you onto the network" using Windows XP Home Edition

We have other Windows based products - PC, laptop, Xbox that all can connect to the home Asus router. We have been able to connect to the router, but not access the internet. Instead of Automatic or Connect status on the Wireless Connection there is a Validating Identity message and not connection to the internet

Windows XP with Internet 6.0
