Is my PRIVACY AT RISK while using windows 10 ???

"When you acquire, install and use the Program, Microsoft collects information about you, your devices, applications and networks, and your use of those devices, applications and networks," the privacy policy states. "Examples of data we collect include your name, email address, preferences and interests; browsing, search and file history; phone call and SMS data; device configuration and sensor data; and application usage."

“If you open a file, we may collect information about the file, the application used to open the file, and how long it takes any use [of] it for purposes such as improving performance, or [if you] enter text, we may collect typed characters, we may collect typed characters and use them for purposes such as improving autocomplete and spell check features,” the privacy policy states.

I mean am i really safe using windows 10 technical preview. Microsoft can get to my email address,my password,my ATM card information,My browsers history,my surf logs and other details.I don't want Microsoft to know what am i doing over internet. They can get to any private information of my as i type it over the keyboard.  I don't feel secure using windows 10 anymore. They don't have the right to know somebodies personal stuff.  I don't want Microsoft to watch my each and every move. Is not really an inhuman approach of interfering with someones personal data and information and their privacy?

I JUST DON'T WANT THEM TO TRACK MY INTERNET ACTIVITY AS THAT IS WHAT WE USE ON DAILY BASIS AND DON'T WANT OTHERS TO KNOW WHAT I AM DOING OVER THE INTERNET. THEY CAN COLLECT ANY OTHER INFORMATION AS THEY WANT TO DEVELOP THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS. I AM STILL USING WINDOWS 10 TECHNICAL PREVIEW BECAUSE IT IS JUST GREAT TO USE AN OPERATING SYSTEM THAT IS A COMBINATION OF WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS 8.JUST RESPECT SOMEBODIES PRIVACY.THAT'S ALL.

I believe if you do NOT sign up for the odious windows insider program you should be safe, or at least as safe as with other versions...
IMHO, YMMV.

Why did you join tech preview, download and install windows 10 if you did not want to inform Microsoft about the usage of 10? Of course Microsoft needs access to find out about any issues that arise from using 10. If your concerned that much about your usage of using 10, then uninstall 10 and go back to your previous operating system

Spoken like a true fanboi. Seriously, only the most rabid fanbois and/or the completely clueless would agree to such terms.

Personally, I will use this forum to express my views.

IMHO, YMMV.

No fanboi....I use Slacko Puppy on some older boxes too. But if you have an issue with how Microsoft collects data then you did not read the agreement when you joined Tech Preview and downloaded 10.

****

If you don't like it....then don't use it. It's quite simple. Should not be very hard to conceive that idea

It was no secret if your read the agreement before you installed 10

If you are that concerned with your privacy, you had better stop using, Google, Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, infact the list goes on and on. MS is no worse or better than any other organization, with modern technology everyone wants part of the action.

Have a good read of other organization Terms of Use, some are worse than MS.

How do you expect MSFT to learn that any changes they've made are actually improving people's interactions with computers? How can they learn that nobody is using any of their new workflows? How will they know that somebody spent 2 hours configuring their video card? In-house user testing is expensive and doesn't collect a lot of data on computer usage. Many software ask you nowadays to "help them make the product better". Most of the time it's very general info (time spent working, features and their order, etc.) until your browser starts collecting frequently-used URLs.

Good questions deserve "Me Too". Good answers deserve "Likes".

It was no secret if your read the agreement before you installed 10

And there it is, "agreement". They presented a choice, which clearly indicated that they knew some would choose not to accept it, yet they offered the choice anyway. They also offered the tech preview without the need to accept the "agereement", that's gotta tell you something. At least, it should.

You accepted the terms of the agreement... good for you. I. on the other hand, did not. My choice to make, and you have no standing to approve or not. None.

Any comments I have, will be made in this forum, period.

I also note that you seem to be mistaking the W.I.P. with the actual Tech preview install. Two separate entities.(afaik)

IMHO, YMMV.

LOL, don't worry, at least if you're not a terrorist. Microsoft is not going to bill you anything even if it knows this. And don't worry, Microsoft is not one person who is going to know everything about your life. Your data is not stored in plain text, and it is certainly not stored on one server and in one datacenter. Microsoft employees are not going to look for your password even if they have access to it and they don't want to look at the password of every person of their massive userbase. Noone cares about your photos and passwords at Microsoft. At the NSA they do care about this but they are going to use this info only to find hackers and terrorist cells. If yor are a normal person and you're not hacking anything or you are not a terrorist then you should clearly ask yourself that question:

Who do i think i am and why do i think that my info and password are precious info for the ordinary Microsoft employee?
