How to fix wifi , ASUS Atheros adapter disconnects intermittently, Windows 8, 64 bit

Let’s follow these methods and check if it fixes the issue.

Method 1: Change power management settings for wireless adapter.

a. Press “Windows key+R”, type “devmgmt.msc”in the run prompt.

b. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

c. Device manager window will open.

Expand Network adapters, right-click on wireless device and then click Properties.

d. Click the Power Management tab, disable the Allow this device to wake the computer check box, and then click OK.

Method 2: Download the latest wireless adapter drivers from the manufacturer website and install them.
