1.1 Is the full set of music library files still shown in Windows explorer, Libraries?
1.2 Does WMP, Organise, Manage libraries, Music still list the folders you want included?
1.3 Can you still add a folder to Windows explorer, Libraries [right-click on folder, Include in lbrary, Music]?
1.4 Can you still add a folder to WMP, Organise, Manage libraries, Music?
2 If all are correct then run the pair WMP troubleshooters.
Control panel, Troubleshooting, Hardware & sound -
or the online versions
2.1 Media player library troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Library-troubleshooter
2.2 Media player settings troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter
3 Then, if necessary, go to WMP, Tools [alt-t], Advanced, Restore media library.
If you have done all these things and the library will still not work correctly then do the following steps
4 Delete the WMP library database to force a complete rebuild - Close WMP, in the Start menu search box type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player In the Windows explorer window that appears delete all the files [but not sub-folders]. See if that has fixed the problem.
5 Delete the WMP database cache - Close WMP, in the Start menu search box type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player In the Windows explorer window that appears, select the Media Player folder in the left-hand pane & delete it together with its sub-folders. See if that has fixed the problem.
6 If that hasn't fixed it then do both these steps [they are the closest thing possible to uninstalling then reinstalling WMP]
6.1 Unload WMP - Control Panel, Programs and Features, [left-hand side] Turn Windows features on or off, Media Features, clear Windows Media Player checkbox, Yes, OK, Restart the PC.
6.2 Reload WMP - Control Panel, Programs and Features, [left-hand side] Turn Windows features on or off, Media Features, set the Windows Media Player checkbox, Yes, OK, Restart the PC.
At the end of 6.2 you will effectively have a new installation of WMP.

Raymond,
You'll get a better response in this forum if you start a question of your own. New posts in older questions are often ignored by many forum users.
In your question, state the results of the following checks:-
1 What folders are identified as holding music files in WMP, Organise, manage libraries, Music?
2 Are the files in the folders identified in 1 actually there if you look for them using Windows explorer through the route C:\Users\YourUserName\My music and so on for all the folders concerned [going through this route checks the real folders rather than the Libraries entries]
3 Repeat 2 with Windows explorer options set to show hidden files [WE, organise, Folder & search options, View tab, Show hidden files] - there were malware attacks reported last year or the year before that caused media files to become hidden.
