Windows 10

I wish to switch laptops with my daughter.

Mine is compact running Win 7 and hers is huge running Win 10. She wants mine to take to US for a year (or forever) ,but we want the Win 10 off hers onto mine for that purpose. Her Win 10 came preinstalled. My win 7 I have my disc. Hardware spec wise they are virtually the same in all other respects

Quite happy to wipe the 10 off hers so it is not multiple user and put my win 7 on it to play games and 7 gives me no problems whereas I can't play my games on 10 (too old).

So the question is how can we get the win 10 off her laptop onto mine without having to rebuy it?

 you can not

as you told Her Win 10 came preinstalled , and in that case you cannot take the product key or the os system to another computer.

there is as far I know no extended free upgrade for windows 10

Windows 10 will continue to be available for purchase, either on a device or as a full version of the software. A discounted "upgrade" version of Windows 10 will not be for sale.

so the only way to get windows 10 on your computer is to buy a windows 10 version
