Windows 10 Update Caused Cursor Lag

Some settings sometimes remain outdated even if you already updated to the latest Windows 10 version. For us to get this fix, let's try to perform these methods:

Method 1: Run the hardware device troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
2. Select Troubleshooting.
3. Select View all on the top left corner.
4. Click on Hardware and Devices.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2: Updatethe mouse drivers from Device Manager manually.

1. Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
2. Search for Mice and other pointing devices from the list of devices.
3. Expand Mice and other pointing devices from the window.
4. Right click on the driver and click on Update driver Software.

I experienced the same problem. Tried everything I could find online, but nothing seemed to work. By experiment I tried deleting the webcam drivers (I never use the webcam anyway) and this appeared to do the trick for me:

1. Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
2. Search for Webcam from the list of devices.
3. Expand Webcam from the window.
4. Right click on the driver and click on Uninstall or Delete (or try to Disable it first, if you do regularly use it).

For some people it also appears to be the audio drivers that cause the lag. I personally preferred the lag over deleting my audio drivers, but if you're really desperate you might try that as well.
