windows 10 upgrade offer for Office 365

I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday.  I received a pop up message from MS saying for a limited time I could purchase Office 365 Personal at 50% off for the first year.  At the time I was occupied with something else, and thought I would do that later.  Now I do not know where to get the promo code.  I tried Windows 10 support chat, and they could not help me and referred me to Sales.  I called Sales and was on hold for well over an hour after finally giving up.  I'm wondering if anyone who has recently upgraded might have this information?  Many thanks.

Do I have to upgrade office 365 for windows 10? I upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't open word, it just shuts down automatically.

Hi.

 

Let us repair Office from the control panel and check if it works fine.

Let us press Windows+r on the keyboard (simultaneously) the Run appears.

In the Run let us type appwiz.cpl, from the list of programs, let us choose Office 365 and click repair and check if it works.

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and have an old Office program installed. So I just read about the 50% promo for Office 365 and do not know why I did not receive a notification on upgrade to Windows 10.

So how do I get Office 365 with the 50% discount?

I also have lost the promo code for purchasing Office 365 Personal at a 50% discount.  I do not find it in my email or notifications.

Any promo code was probably time limited, and has long since expired
