Microsoft Office 365 Home HUP discount

I signed up for HUP through my employer and received an email stating I was eligible for the program. I forwarded that email to my home email address, clicked the "Login to start saving" link, logged in with my personal Microsoft ID and got to the purchase page. The top banner states "Save 30% on Office 365 annual subscriptions," however, the price for Office 365 Home is $99.99, the same price as a non-HUP subscription.

Am I doing something incorrectly to get to the discounted HUP subscription price? I thought it was $69.99/yr for HUP members.

Thanks

Hi

Follow through.
I'm assuming the page you are seeing is:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/home-use-program

Put in your email address. You should get the discount before you authorize the payment.

Thanks for the response. I went back and started from the beginning to make sure I didn't screw anything up.

  1. Go to the URL mentioned, entered work email.
  2. Received email confirmation on work mail.
  3. Click "Login with Personal Account" link in mail.
  4. Login with personal email (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***).
  5. Get rerouted back to page in #1 stating I am a member under another Microsoft account.

I did change my email address recently, so I figured I would sign up for HUP using my new email and just move my subscription over at renewal but I guess it doesn't work that simple.

Goal of using the Outlook.com email being to use my own custom domain, which I cannot do if using a gmail address. Which leads to the next question of whether I can just add the outlook.com email to my account and then make it primary and still be able to use a custom domain name?

Thanks again.
