error 1935 error 1712

SOME HISTORY ON MY SYSTEM: I have Windows 7, I upgraded from Windows Vista, My DELL Inspiron Laptop came with VISTA and a free Windows 7 upgrade Disk. I also have Office 2007 Home and Student version that was purchased with the original computer. All was working well far after my Install of Windows 7.  Then one day I started getting a NET.frame missing compnent error every time I booted up the computer, it didn't seem to interfere with anything, so I basically ignored it. I did in time(after many days of the error) research it using the internet. I found that it was supposed to be caused by a HP Printer. The advice was to uninstall and reinstall the HP printer. Since I don't often use the HP PHOTO PRINTER and always use the Brother Laser. I didn't take the time to try that "FIX".

Now on to my real PROBLEM: I do use WORD, and I use it often. One day WORD would NOT open. I rebooted, etc. Got nothing. I then ran the Microsoft Office Diagnostis which came from the Microsoft website. It did 24 "tests", The computer past 23 of the 24 tests. On test 24 the system simply stalled. It never quit, it just never got beyond 24, and I waited and waited. I would cancel the Dignostics and sart over, did this several times, rebooted between attempts and without rebooting between attempts, always stalling in test 24.

I then decided I needed to uninstall OFFICE and reinstall from the Disk provided with the computer, the UNINSTALL was succesful. The reinstall FAILS and FAILS and FAILS again.  I also tried  a SYSTEM RESTORE.....FAILED, FAILED and FAILED

Here's the ERROR: " Error 1935, An error occorred during the installation of assembly component { 97F81AF1-0E-47-DC99-A01F-C88389A1E18E}, HRESULT: 0x800736FD. Error 1712. One or more of the files required to restore your computer to its previous state could not be found. Restoration is not possible.
