UPDATED! Win10 Preivew *now available* again for Lumia 520/525/526 users

All,

With the changes that we made to the WPRT and the ensuing successful updates we've seen since making those changes, we have now re-enabled the update for the 520/525/526 devices.

Users waiting to upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones may now take the upgrade as desired.  If you are already on the Windows 10 Technical Preview and registered to the Insider Fast group, you will now find a new build available for your device.

Old Thread title: (Update availability paused for Lumia 520/525/526 users)

We are seeing some reports of failures on Lumia 520/525/526 devices when trying to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1 using the Windows Phone Recovery Tool. We are pausing build availability for these devices temporarily while we investigate the issue and work with customers who have reported problems.

haven't tried the recovery tool yet

so will hang on for awhile longer

checked out my phone settings no EMEI

so no cellular

got it to work

settings>about>reset

took about 40 minutes but took care of problems

I hv installed win10preview in my L520.but my phone having bbugs ND gets too slow most of app crashing all time.plz tell me I m waiting for next build or to move to win8.1 plz reply soon. How much timeu take to resolve lumia520 props

525 bricked during rollback.

Nokia care charging me 500 INR for flashing; that too with a possibility of rendering the phone unusable if all doesnt go well.

Update : They aren't able to find any solution for it. Said they have to replace the motherboard.

Very good, but also users using other devices have reported the same problem, including me with a 620: Link to TechNet thread on the issue

Glad to see you guys pull this before any more phones are damaged. I just wish I knew about this before my 520 bricked. Had to order a 635 since the 520 won't even turn on and is stuck in flash mode.
