Modding/Cheating Policy Question

As long as you do not partake in or abuse these mods, you cannot be banned. Everyone that gets banned for using these rightfully deserves it and people rarely get banned just for being placed in a lobby with these mods present. My suggestion would just be to dashboard out of modded lobbies to assure you don't get the infections as well and file a complaint on the people modding.

Since when did all this modding start taking place, I left the Call of Duty franchise after Modern Warfare 2? I hated the game and thought they butchered the series from what the Modern Warfare and World at War stood for. I hated all the air support and how unbalanced the game felt. The maps were all horrible compared to maps like Crash,  Overgrown, and Strike. I didn't even bother getting into Black Ops and didn't partake in the hype like most fans.

The real problem started a couple months after MW2 released. MW2 has since been cleaned up a bit causing the modders to hop over to WaW and Cod4. It's been bad for quite a while.

I was banned because I entered a BO modded lobby (didn't use any mods though), but my stats did get messed from it but the ban was from Treyarch and not a proper Xbox Live ban.

there are no bo modded lobbies on xbox,any resets from treyarch are done to punish boosters.

I have exactly the same question as OP, since i've only been playing MW2 and COD4 for a week or 2, I only play with find a match and every game advertises mods.com etc, though I don't think i've seen any exploits being used? For newbies (i know, sad) in 2011, it get's pretty confusing

@TheOwenKiller, I went on my alt account, I had something like -2billion kills, if that's considered a reset from Treyarch I don't think I'll be buying any more of there games :)

thats a cod4 derank done by modders not treyarch.
