Long time NBA online 2k player worried help?

I've recently been having problems playing online. Now I've been using the spurs for about a good 2 years now and for some reason when I play with them now it seems that they are damn near impossible to score with. I make sure I have their shots all to green and they are wide open. Posting up seem easy but to get duncan to actually make a hook shot is terrible. For some reason when I get space for mid-ranges with Parker and Hill I can't make none of them. Im also wondering if this maybe could have something to do with me using the shot stick like is it proven that X or the Shot stick is better or worse than using the other? Not looking for trolls looking for real honest answers. Thanks in advanced
