License Transfer and re-downloading everything

Even after you do a license transfer, you need to manually re-download everything in order to refresh the licenses so your content can be played offline.

What I want to know is, do you only need to re-download DLC, GamesonDemand, and Arcade games? Or do you also need to re-download any gamerpics, avatar items, and themes you purchased as well in order to use them offline?

Yes, most everything you have should be downloaded to your Xbox a second time when signing in. I think with avatar's though you might be able to get away with that, but again, a re-download would be the safest. :)

If the items are already present in local storage (on your HDD or USB devices), the "downloading" is really only a re-licensing and is very quick. It might be annoying to queue everything for downloading, of course.

I know, the download time isn't what annoys me, I purchased a LOT of content over the years, having to navigate through the slow menus one-by-one for each and every one to re-download it so it can update the license is maddening. Its taken several hours so far and I'm not anywhere near done.

It's easier if you just queue everything up using your download history on the computer while you have your console up. Then you can just click each one and they'll start downloading.
