I love the MP5.

I have love for the MP5 and I'm currently using it now, also silenced. The MP5 was my first SMG I used to 500 kills way back at the very start (no prestige), but I haven't used it since then until today (7th prestige) and must say it's still ballin'.

I'd have to disagree and say that it's actually fairly bouncy (the PM-9 and MP7 both have better recoil, the PM-9 because it recoils more predictably) that makes it hard to use at longer ranges.

Outside of that, however, it's my favourite SMG. I don't know why, since the PP90 (not that I'd touch that), P90 and MP7 are all superior, I'd say, but it's definitely my favourite. Great, highly enjoyable weapon.

It also does feel quite weak silenced.

I've jumped to it every so often and just can't get kills with it.  I tend to keep the smg's for smaller maps.  The MP5 was awesome in COD4.  

It was my favorite weapon in Blops, but have been too fond of my Ump in this game.  I think i might give it a little love this weekend.

Try the PM-9 too, hilarious weapon to use. Surprisingly good too :P

I used it almost all this prestige. I got Gold for it just a couple days ago.

I'm trying to Gold all (most) of my guns this prestige since I'm stopping at it ... and it will give me something to do.

Had it gold for ages and love it, the beast has a permanent custom class slot. I did just use it silenced but due to it's slow time to kill I switched up to rapid fire/silenced and got more success. I do think it has high recoil, especially with rapid fire but it really shines in close quaters with said attachments. I think more people are seeing the guns potential and how much more rewarding it is than other SMGs, Ive bumped into several people with autumn camo the last few days. Funny as I can't ever remember bumping into anyone using it with gold camo yet. Oh yeah imo it has a pretty decent hip fire too, with or without steady aim

I love giving the guns you enjoy most a permanent slot. I'm waiting for next Prestige (when I have the Model tokened and can level it up without having it reset soon after) to determine whether it gets a permanent slot.

@Bob Have you got anywhere near damage on the Model yet? Like I said in another post it makes a bigger difference than any other shotgun. I used it for a bit on my other account before prestiging and tbh I stopped using it after a few games, it just didn't cut it without damage so it will have to wait until my next token. Where as the Spas is a completely different story, I can use that without damage no problem.

It's OK, I've got over 1000 kills with it, but not much more than that.  People don't use it because it's not as versatile as say the PP90 or MP7.  If I'm going to use a crappy SMG I prefer the PM-9.
