Xbox One doesn’t completely flush the memory

http://www.n2g.us/2013/11/xbox-one-games-crashfail-to-load-fix.html

ive seen a few posts about game crashes and not loading, with the only fix to completely reboot, or unplug from power brick. this article pretty much highlights the issue we are all having. im more curious to know how close MS is to fixing this issue, i really enjoy going to instant-on mode for faster reboots and turning on all my devices for me!

I usually reboot mine once a week and the rest of the time Instant on. The only 'problem' I've had is the UI getting a little laggy if it's running for 6 days without a reboot.

Make sure you are closing all apps and games after you are done.  That will help if it gets sluggish. (Hold the menu button and scroll down to quit.)

G'day all! The 'fix' described by the Youtuber in that article is known as power cycling. When your console is set to Instant On, it doesn't fully shut down. It's like putting a computer into sleep mode. Power cycling clears the cache and performs a full reboot of the system.

I'm afraid I don't have any update on the issue where users are returned to the home screen from their games, but it's definitely something we're working on. Performing a power cycle tends to help when that happens with games or apps, but we're digging deeper into why it's happening more frequently for some users with games.
