If the save data is still on the console they should ping automatically I think.

What's the harm in trying? If the save data is linked to her profile then it should work.

If you get achievements offline then recovering the tag you wont get them. You'll have to redo whatever you did to get the achievements and sign into live before you transfer the tag.

herpaderp, neither of you helped.

i'm not a loon and i KNOW for a fact that it doesn't just bleep bloop up after you reload. like i said, some games MIGHT. and she had already reloaded her data the next day, doesn't take a genius to TRY to do that.

and jer bear... get out of here, that wasn't even relevant to the question. (HENCE WHY I ASK IS THERE A WAY NOT "WHY DOES THE ACHIEVEMENTS NOT THERE, THEY GONE!" ok buddy?)

jus gonna email microsoft, kinda hoping a mod would hop in the forums like i thought they did. but whatever.

Vernier is actually right.  If your gamertag is disconnected from Live, then you continue to acquire achievements while offline, those achievements will be added to your game progress when you come back online.  There is no "Achievement Unlocked" icon at the bottom of the screen as soon as you connect online.  It simply just slips those achievements into the games you played.

This is NOT you issue however.  When you remove the account (using it on a different console for example) then recover it, there is no recovering the achievements earned offline.  This is because there is no record either on your hard drive, Memory Unit, or USB stick that, the achievement was unlocked on that particular account.  The system sees it as unlocking the achievement on an offline profile that happens to have the same name as your gamertag.

I learnt this the hard way after losing about 400gs in Dragon's Age: Origins.  You have to play it again.  Moral of the story is, use the "Recover Gamertag" feature SPARINGLY.   Move data and gamertags between consoles using a USB stick.  That way the gamertag is kept together with it's saved games.

I lost 4000gs when I recovered my tag. There were achievements from 5 different games including all the assassin's creed brotherhood as well as all the MW2 achievements. This took me collectively about a year of my life to accomplish and all of it disappeared in a matter of seconds. I still have all the items and saved data but the achievements are gone.

I'm begging someone to come up with a way to get it all back without having to redo it. I have all the missions for assassin's creed brotherhood unlocked but can't get the acchievements unless i start a new game and same with all the other games. COD black ops, ACB, MW2, Army of 2 40th day, madden 11, some of AC2's achievements and Medal of honor. IT was devastating when i lost these things so if anybody has ANY  way to get these back please let me know ASAP.
